My parents have a place in St. Pete (we're there now!) and I grew up going to the beaches around here. Clearwater I think would be great for a family vacation. St. Pete beach is beautiful but I think Clearwater has more stuff plus the same gorgeous white sand. We always went to Siesta Key growing up. Miami is out because DH and I went last year and we don't want to go back yet!</p> <p>We're going to keep it simple and do a 2-3 hour nonstop flight to a Florida beach resort.</p> <p>I've been researching Ft Myers/Sanibel Area, St Pete Beach, and Fort Lauderdale... All the flight times and resorts seem to be around the same price point; with the exception that the beach resorts in Fort Lauderdale seem to be better quality. But we've only been there for a pitstop before cruising!</p> <p>Any favorite Florida beach recs for a fam vacation with a 3 yo and 8 month old? </p>
