Because of my compromised immune system, I have to get the shot. Well, my husband brought home a strain of flu the shot didn't cover. Thankfully, I was able to get in to see my doctor soon enough to start Tamiflu so I didn't have serious complications. </p> <p>Hope you feel better soon. This has been such a nasty flu season. Hospitals in our area are seriously cracking down on visitors with flu-like symptoms and not allowing kids on the hospital campus unless they're the patient. This actually happened to me during my 2nd trimester last year. I got my flu shot during the 1st trimester, and ended up with a mild flu several weeks later. Presumably it was one of the strains that this year's shot didn't protect against. Has this happened to anyone else? Lucky me ;) Thankfully it's much milder than it has been in the past for me. </p>
