I got infuenza A when I was 10 weeks pregnant with my daughter. I had a fever of 103 and felt horrible. I was so scared of having a miscarriage after having had them in the past. She is now a happy, healthy 4 month old! Definitely talk to you Dr if you have any concerns. I hope everyone feels better!

Thanks everyone. His fever is lower this morning and now his stomach is cramping so maybe it is a stomach virus. Not that I want that either. :( But I am less worried about the effects of that than the flu.

I had it at 39 weeks and had to go to l&d for it fluids. I got an rx for tamiflu and felt 80% better the next day and was back to 100% quickly. Had DD the day or two after I finished the meds and had no ill effects. Just stay on top of it!

I agree with others on the Tylenol. I had a sinus infection and UTI at the same time a few weeks ago which cause an ongoing fever for 4 days. They originally thought it was the flu but I never had any nasal, throat or cough symptoms. Dr said to keep up with the Tylenol every 6 hours and drink tons of water. Good luck! Hopefully your flu shot works and you're spared.

It's so bad this year. I had it about 3 weeks ago when I was 29 weeks pregnant. I never actually went to get tested because I'm allergic to Tamiflu anyway so there was no point, but my OB said she's pretty sure it was the flu. The first 2-3 days really sucked, I'm not going to lie. But the baby and I are both totally fine. The big thing is to keep up the tylenol so you don't let your fever spike and stay hydrated.

ETA: I was pretty darn sick but my husband and my daughter never caught it. So I wouldn't get yourself too worked up until you actually have symptoms.

I had the flu when I was pregnant. I was about 5-6 months. If you think you have it, go to the doctor early so you can get tamiflu. It helps!

Eta: I had gotten the flu shot that year too! And baby is totally healthy.

My husband had the flu while pregnant and I never got it! Hopefully you are spared. Definitely Check in with your OB. I think you will be just fine as long as you catch and treat it early!

You will be fine. I had pneumonia for almost 2 months while pregnant with my second. It sucks big time but I'm ok and baby is/was OK. But I do know how scary it is and shitty because there's not much meds you can take.

Hopefully you escaped it!

Like PP said, if you get it, talk to your doc about Tamiflu to help shorten the length and severity of it. You might be miserable when you have it but the baby should be fine.

Yupp me with LO2. It felt a though as I was coughing that baby out but we were both fine (I was 9months though). Also I didn't get it near as bad as DH got it.

I'm so sorry. I would call your OB today and talk to them about tamiflu? I know some providers recommend it.

DH came home yesterday with a high fever (102.5) and aches and chills. The flu is running rampant around here already and we got our flu shots a week and a half ago, but I guess it hasn't fully kicked in yet. Well lucky me, we were kissing yesterday morning so now I'm sure to get it. I'm worried because I'm 7 months pregnant and when I looked at the CDC page it freaked me out with cautions that I could have life threatening complications and I could go into preterm labor and/or cause birth defects. I'm definitely freaking out. Anyone had the flu while pregnant and you were ok? Baby ok?
