My daughter (she's 21months) got her shot last week and no problems, no obvious side-effects.

I got mine a few weeks ago (around 9 weeks pregnant) and just had a sore arm for a day or so. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had to get the regular flu vaccine as well as the H1N1- and had nothing happen with either- not even the sore arm.

Since the vaccine causes an immune response, there may just be variations in how strongly you react- which can vary based on lots of factors.

Hope Claire has no side-effects!!

Charlie got his flu shot yesterday and he seemed fine. The first time I ever got a flu shot was when I was pregnant with Charlie and I got super sick with flu-like symptoms for 36 hours. This time around I got it pregnant with Olive, and no symptoms at all.

N got her flu shot on Tuesday and she was mostly just more sleepy than normal (but that could also be cuz she got a vaccination that day too)... and she ran a slight fever of 99.5...

she's supposed to get a 2nd flu shot next month... that's normal right? i think my pediatrician spaced it out, not sure if all pediatricians do that?

I was just talking with my husband about getting a flu shot for DD. She didn't get a flu shot last year because she was really young and we had a privte nanny, but now she's in daycare, which requires she get her flu shot. I imagine we'll go to the clinic in the next few weeks, to get her shot. I hope she doesn't have a reaction, but definitely a slight reaction is better than the alternative.

She got her flu shot a few weeks back. Didn't have any reaction,
To it. Didnt seem to have bothered her at all. I got mine last week and I was sore for 3 days. But I was also working out too, so I'm sure that contributed to it

Yes, my LO got the flu shot last year and this year. No reaction last year when she was about 5 months old, but this year she got this weird rash afterwards. The doctors insisted that it wasn't from the flu shot and yet were not able to give any other reason for it. She broke out the same day, got the flu shot in the morning and broke out by the evening. So....I am not convinced. The rash went away and she never got sick so I guess it's ok. I don't want to risk her getting the flu but the shot doesn't make me entirely comfortable for sure.

I got the flu shot a couple of days ago and I feel like I got hit by a truck. :-(

Claire has a pediatrician appointment next week and I'm pretty sure the doc will bring up the flu shot for her. I know that she should get it, but my heart already breaks for her, knowing that she might react to it as badly as I have.

Have your LO's gotten flu shots? How did they react? Do you plan on getting the flu shot for your LO?

ETA: I got the flu shot last year and all I got was a sore arm for a few days. This year is much worse. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I'm pregnant?
