I had an early MC in December though, so it would exactly be my first time pregnant.<br /> I actually looked this up this morning. I couldn't find any real credible sources, just info from other forums mostly. Apparently when the sperm implants into the egg a hormone is released that lowers your bodies defenses so that the fertilized egg implants. Because your defenses are lowered, you are at increased chances for getting other illnesses. Although the sources weren't very credible, they sounded educated at least. BUT I have gotten colds and cold-like symptoms during my TWW of months that I haven't conceived. So, really it's a toss up. I'm hopeful though this TWW due to the timing of the cold. It has something to do with the rise in progesterone. The month I got my BFP I thought that they were much worse. I just entered my TWW and right away they returned, as bad as ever. FX that this is an early pregnancy sign for both of us! I don't remember exactly when the symptoms started, but I hadn't been so sick in years! I remember dropping LO1 off at daycare, which was a 5 min walk each way, and having to nap for an hour when I got back home because I was absolutely wiped out! I ovulated last Thursday the 26/2, then started getting flu symptoms 28b/2! I know this only makes me 2dpo which is extremely early and possibly unlikely but idk how I could've caugt the flu, assuming maybe from aircon but who knows. Have read somewhere flu symptoms can be early preg sign.</p> <p>My throat is itchy and was burning on the Saturday. I went out for dinner that night &amp; was ok but then Sunday it hit me all over again until today still itchy throat, burning eyes and watery, stuffy nose. Wanted to buy cold and flu tabs but pharmacists suggested not to in case I am preg. We dtd on o day and 2 days before o day.</p> <p>I am now 4dpo &amp; feel like it's not going away! Yes I know it's very early &amp; yes I know it's probably the flu but I rarely get the flu. </p> <p>Would love for this to end up in a bfp but I highly doubt it. </p>
