I get them too, super weird and I've never figured out where they come from. They feel exactly like baby kicks but I've gotten them for years since my son was born January 2015.

I have celiac and have this sensation regularly. In fact, my celiac predates my LO, and I thought the baby wasn’t kicking and I asked my doc because I was worried at 22 weeks and we figured out that the sensation was almost the same!

This happens to me and I always thought it was gastro issues/gas, even if it's not obviously gas, just gas bubbles somewhere in there. Lol. THIS is why when people say they're feeling baby at 10-12 weeks or something like that.. I never really believe them!

@hellobeeboston: I would bet money it's a little flare-ups up of gastro issues maybe due to stress or other changes. I have what feels like bubbles popping a lot and it's always gas.

I have had this too! Made me wonder how many of what I thought were early kicks were gas bubbles or something.

Phantom kicks. More likely in people with any gastrointestinal issues because of how much your body moves those organs around when you are pregnant.

@hellobeeboston: I totally get this! I just started to notice it (2+ years postpartum). I just chalk it up to digestion, but it totally reminds me of baby kicks!

(I better not be pregnant. Shoot do I have to buy a test?!🤪😱)

I just had these phantom baby-kicks last week and I've had them before where I was convinced I was prego and didn't know it, they feel so real! I just chalk it up to funky gas bubbles.

I searched online and didn't find much mention of this too. I hope it goes away... I'm thinking it might have to due with stress, and lack of my regular exercise?

This happens to me occasionally. I don’t have celiac, but I’ve always just chalked it up to internal gas (i.e. not flatulence, just things moving/bubbling around in there).

I get these all the time. They started when I was probably 7 months postpartum with my first daughter. It’s probably just things moving around in your gut. I have celiac too and they started before I went on a GF diet. I wouldn’t call them phantom kicks in my case because I can feel them from the outside. Things definitely moved around inside after having my kids—I have a diastasis recti and a mild umbilical hernia—so it makes sense to be feeling new things.

I randomly started having phantom kicks about 2 years after my son was born. I just chalked it up to the body is weird. I figured it was gastro related but short from freaking me out I was pregnant, I didn’t think it was cause for any concern. I talked to some friends about it and everyone seemed to have experience phantom kicks at some point too.

I'm having the weirdest sensation in my very lower abdomen for the last week or so. There is no pain, and it almost feels like baby kicks. It's so distracting.... Has anyone had this?

I'm not gassy, but it's like there is air bubbles popping. I can even see it - it's just like kicks from being pregnant.

I have celiac disease, but i've been gluten free for about 15 years, and I just had my vitamin levels checked, so I'm good there... But there seems to be some kind of new gastrointestinal issue happening. I'll call the doctor I guess, but there aren't any symptoms and no pain. It's just annoying.

I haven't been working out due to a crazy schedule and a lot going on, also more stressed. Maybe related?

HELP Dr HelloBee!
