The last few times I flew I opted out and it was like they were trying to convince me to go through them. One airport they described the patdown in great detail and were like, are you SURE you want that? You know the scanner is safe, right?? I'm sure it is, but to me, the technology is too new and I don't want to take the risk, even if I get more radiation from actually flying! Whoever actually does the patdown is usually nice though. </p> <p>Great-- I'm not going to bother trying to get a note. I didn't bother to get a note. I had a note from my GP saying I was fit to fly and that I wasn't experiencing any signs of early labor, but I was never asked to show it. I'm not worried about the flights-- they are pretty short and I've been feeling good, but it just occurred to me, should I have gotten a note from my doctor? I'm carrying somewhat small, so I really don't think anyone would mistake me for 36 weeks plus (which is most airlines' cut off point), but does anyone have experience where they were asked for documentation?</p> <p>Flying Southwest and Delta, if that matters. </p>
