We took LO on a flight from Houston (sea level) to Medellin, Colombia (~5,000') when she was 4.5 months old and had no problems with the altitude. Having lived in CO for a few years, I think you will be fine - just pay attention to the wet diapers- it's easy to get dehydrated and not notice because the air is so dry, you won't really sweat. (Make sure you are drinking plenty of water too!) And I would take some lotion for your LO's skin.

I'm really sensitive to altitude and tend to feel bad if I go from sea level to anything above 6 or 7000 feet. Flying to Colorado from sea level has never bothered me because you'll likely stay under 5500 unless you go to the mountains. Actually most people aren't bothered by altitude until 8000+ so you should be fine.
As for you LO. It's never bothered out little guy when we've gone to higher elevation either driving or flying and he was around 4 months the first time we took him.
Enjoy your trip. Colorado is beautiful... We actually just moved here ourselves!

Hey Bees,

I would love to hear about your trip to higher altitudes with a little one. I have a work trip in July to Bolder Colorado for two weeks and LO is coming with me. LO will be 15 weeks when we leave. I have never been to that high an altitude, so I dont know how I will handle it either. I am getting a little nervous about it.

Thanks!
