First pregnancy, went to 40w exactly. OB didn't clear me to fly after 36 weeks but with your circumstances if you aren't flying far maybe they can make an exception. In terms of flying postpartum I think some airlines recommend a week for newborns. My dad is having some rather serious medical issues, and I may need to take a 3 hour flight on a moment's notice. I'm totally comfortable doing this until 36 weeks. Has anyone flown once they are past 36 weeks? Alternately, how soon after having the baby have you flown? I'm terrified that I'm not going to be able to be there when my parents and siblings needs me the most.<br /> Thanks for your advice. (obviously I know my midwife will have opinions, but personal stories will also be helpful in calming my nerves). </p>
