At that age DD was still sleeping all the time so I think it'll be super easy! Much easier than a squirmy 15 month old!

It depends on the baby IMO. My dd was way fussy then and would not have tolerated it well, but we did travel at four months and she did great! If you have a go to soothing method it should be fine..and the worst that can happen is baby will cry...it happens, and it's ok!

Ps. I had to take my ergo off every single time we went through security.
We fly Delta and infant in arms is free!

Baby should be fine! Traveling with an infant is so much easier than a toddler! My kids have been fine with the air pressure, but you might want to nurse at take off and landing.

We traveled with dd when she was around 10 weeks old and she did well!
Good luck!

Echoing everyone else, we flew when LO was 10 weeks old and it was easy-peasy. I nursed her for take off and put her paci in for landing, but she pretty much just slept the whole time.

I just flew with E at 5 weeks old. He did really well. The trick is to see if you can find a carrier that she'll tolerate and you can just wear her through everything, even security. You'll have to decide if you want to hold her the entire time or keep her in a car seat. Some airlines won't give you the option (i.e. you have to buy an entire separate ticket for them). American Airlines wanted to charge me $500 for an "infant in arms". No way!

It will be so easy at that age. DS and I flew the first time when he was 3 months. It was fine and everyone is helpful when you fly with a baby.

I took a two hour flight with LO by myself at 10 weeks. It was easy peasy. Taking the same flight with a squirmy six month old was a ton harder.
Your grandparents will be so thrilled for you to go.

I have flown with an almost three month old and he did great! He slept the whole time! I actually think they are easier to fly when they are that little. I nursed him and then just left the cover on the whole time, so he didn't get sick. I'm due January 5th and will be flying with this baby before March 8th for my sister's wedding, so this LO will be about 9 or 10 weeks old at the time. I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

My grandparents can't travel any more, they just found out. My maternity leave is over in 4 weeks and I have no vacation time left from work. I earn it very slowly too ...like by Christmas I will have almost 4 days and we don't get xmas eve or day after Thanksgiving off, so I will have to take those since we won't have daycare.

You get the point. Thinking of flying to see my grandparents since I don't know when I will have any time to do it in the future.
LO would be 9 or 10 weeks and it would be a 3.5 hour non stop flight.

Tips? Is this insane?? Will LO be ok healthwise?
