@Sams Mom: I know. Apparently the liquid concentrate isn't really a thing out there. It won't be the end of the world, though, if we switch.

@Sams Mom: I will try to get in touch with her. I lived there too, although not so recently. I have asked all my friends there and so far haven't gotten anywhere. I even called the local WIC office and they tried to help but ultimately weren't able to find it either.

@Mrs. Turtle: kaohinani has lived in Hawaii, and might have good resources on places to get it maybe? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know you can Google about anything now days, but it might be worth an ask

@Tanjowen: Great idea! I just reserved some for pick up at Buy Buy Baby on the way to the airport. It'll be much easier than carrying on my usual heavy cooler with formula in a mason jar and a heavy thermos of warm water!
@Sams Mom: Sadly I looked into ordering online, and I'd have to order a case. I'd only use 7 cans while there, so that leaves 5 I'd have to lug back with me. I am having a really hard time finding a source for the concentrate anywhere, so I may just switch her to ready to feed or powder for the trip.

@Mrs. Turtle: Any chance they make small bottles of it? We used similac and took a bunch of the 8 oz sealed liquid formuka with us on flights with our first and had zero issues. They usually swab the outside or might stick one in a bin to test but that's it. Your idea of them in a cooler bag works fine also. If TSA tries to give you grief just ask for a supervisor.

We packed more in our checked bag for the trip or used Amazon to get the rest on location.

@Mrs. Turtle: baby food and formula are subject to a whole other set of rules with TSA.

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/special-procedures/traveling-children

As far as your supply while in Hawaii, if you order it online, just have it shipped to your hotel. My friend that traveled all of the time when her son was young would Amazon prime a pack/box of diapers to the hotel and a pack of formula liquid or powder to save room in her bags.

Has anyone travelled with a liquid concentrate formula? I'm trying to figure out how we would even do this. I guess a small cooler with pre-mixed bottles for the flight? They let you carry bottles on if they're over 3 oz right? And then I guess I should find a source where we are going for the trip. I could also switch to powder for the trip, but I have a theory that the powder version makes her constipated, so I'd rather not. Ideas?
