@mrbee: Merci! :D@artbee: Yeah it's pretty nerve wracking leading up to the trip, but just expect the worst and hope for the best! Trips under 4 hours are the best. Anything longer is a little tortuous :)

@anewme: make sure you have a carrier for her, bring some snacks, and some books/toys! I didn't nurse at take off, but did at landing.. If you have an iPhone/iPad that might be helpful too! I didn't have to pull ours out, but had it on hand just in case. Good luck!

We fly alot with Little Jacks. She knows she gets a new toy for each flight and that helps alot. We also bring some of her favorite books and of course crayons!

Only during the flight. I didn't have him strapped during landing and take off because I would be nursing him. It's not the most comfortable for me to have him in the ergo but that was the ONLY way to get him to sleep. If its a short flight, I don't fly during his nap time. My daughter doesn't like sleeping in the ergo on flight though - I tried last time and didn't work.

Lately, we've always been THAT family on the flight. I swear it's payback for all the times I've smirked at people with kids on flight. I think they always put families in the back of the plane but I wish they had a closed off family section that prevented noise from traveling to the rest of the plane. I would totally pay more for that.

Last flight was at 12 months, he did better than I expected, but we were prepared. We buy a seat and use the car seat, so he's always got a place to go. When I get tired from holding my son, I get stressed and can't deal, so after his first flight at 6 months old as a lap child, we buy a seat.

I've used the Ergo inflight, my son loved it and still does well in it. Not for long periods of time, and not for take off or landing. You might not be able to use it, though, because if there's an impact while you are seated, your body weight could crush your child...no one said anything to me about it though.

Before 6 months, LO did great. 6 months to a year, it was harder but still tolerable. He always fell asleep as soon as I put him in the ergo. After a year, it just got harder and harder.

Our LO has traveled by plane twice-–at around 3 months old and at 4 months old. She did really well, but we're traveling again today and I'm really nervous!

Now that she's older (10 months) and aware of her surroundings I have no idea how she'll do.. hoping for the best!

Did you fly with an older infant? How was it?
