@travellingbee: oh yeah, no, it's definitely still useful info. I think if anything it would be higher on CD 3, so 10 is a good number :)

@Shutterbug: yeah I know that it's not the same as the day 3 one. It was really just an incidental ultrasound because I was there for the hysteroscopy anyway.

@travellingbee: the AFC (antral follicle count) should really be done on CD 3ish to have any real bearing on how you'd respond to injectibles as far as for IVF, because by CD 10 that one 13mm follicle has already taken over and suppressed the others. That being said, 10 total follicles seen on CD 10 is good, because it means that you have at least that many follicles available to produce eggs.

I'm 37 and I have Diminished Ovarian Reserve. I had a hysteroscopy today on CD 10 to check for a possible polyp (there wasn't one) and any remnants after my miscarriage last cycle. While I was there she wanted to check out my follies, since I'm nearing ovulation. She said I have one that was at 13 and I should ovulate in the next 3 days. Other than that she saw 4 on one side and 5 on the other. (Small ones) She said it was consistent with my age and AMH level but she seemed happy with it. I asked if she thought I'd respond well to the injectables and she assured me I would. I was just curious about other people's experiences with follicle numbers.
