I did need to get one more during the middle of it. I agree re: the advice to as your doctor/nurse about vial overfill so you can hopefully buy less. It didn’t really change for me. The good thing for gonal f was that you can change the dose as needed by doctor. My follicles took a little longer to grow so they upped th dosage in the middle. I don’t think it made me very emotional (not anymore than usual, with the stresses of IVF). At the lower dosages she was totally fine (from my perspective and hers!) IUIs didn't work for us but we did Gonal and Ovidrel at high doses for IVF and that's where she didn't feel so awesome. Also the fact of doing IVF takes a toll on the emotions as it is. </p> <p>In the low dose I believe it was around 75 on the pen, double that for IVF in our case. The progesterone has always been by far the worst. Off and on for five years, through 8 IUIs (plus four more that I started that got cancelled) and 2 IVFs. Honestly, the meds during my TI cycle were not that bad, especially since I can compare to how I felt during IVF. You might get a bit uncomfortable/bloated as you get closer to triggering, but I don't believe they made me emotional.</p> <p>How much meds are they having you buy? Be sure that you know about the overfill so maybe you can buy less. Essentially, there is more med in each pen than it says. So, I was able to get away with buying less than they prescribed. I would need to look up my old posts if you want more specifics. I'm pretty sure I did the exact same protocol while I was treating with our RE. We did if for 5 months. I don't remember being super emotional due to the injections/meds but I do know that it was a very "trying" time. However, I think it was more to do with just dealing w IF in the first place. </p> <p>As for the injections, all I remember is that they made me feel bloated. She warned me follitism can make you super emotional. Anyone do a similar protocol and be successful? What should I expect with Gonal-F? Should I warn my coworkers??? Lol </p>
