The doctor said he was probably snacking all day (I would feed him whenever he started fussing/looked hungry, which was every 2 hours or so, sometimes less), and that I should start feeding him every 3 hours so he would eat a full meal each time he ate. </p> <p>I haven't been back to weigh him yet, but it seems to be working - he eats a lot more during each feeding I think, and only gets hungry every 3-4 hours now. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/following-babys-hunger-cues#post-558458 Sat, 09 Feb 2013 23:50:50 +0000 skibobrown 558458@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>My daughter is very laid back, so she never really showed any strong hunger cues until she was starving. For that reason I always just fed on a 3-hour schedule during the day. Still do, actually. When she was younger, if she was hungry before the three hours I would feed her of course, but if she was napping and it was around 3-3.5 hours I would wake her up. This way I could ensure that she was getting all her milk needed during the day so she wouldn't need to feed at night.
