@FutureMrsMcK: Oh I'm glad they are already mostly clearing. I'm sorry your little man won't get to eat his new yummy snack for awhile :(. Hope the rest clear up just as fast for you!

@anbanan15: She basically told me to come in if started to run a fever, if they didn't go away in 24-48 hours or so, if it started to seem bothered by it or if they started to got bigger and started to ooze or do anything else gross. Otherwise to just keep an eye on it for the next day, and try Benadryl if it would make me feel better but since it's (so far) faded by like 75% she didn't think it was a necessity.

No new ones have shown up...what was there has mostly faded, although there are still a few bumps on his chest and small very light pink splotches.

Charlie has had a few minor reactions to prunes and mango. Just a small splotchy rash on his tummy and face, but our ped said to hold off on giving them for now. I have a lot of food allergies so I'm always worried that he will develop them too.

@FutureMrsMcK: I'm surprised your pedi didn't want to see him! We see a pedi allergist and even when I email her pictures like above that clearly look like an allergic reaction she still wants LO evaluated by the regular pedi to rule out a virus since she says many viruses can mimic rashes similar to allergic reaction (our pedi allergist is 1.5+ hours away). Did they recommend trying anything like Benadryl to see if it helps the rash? Even if the medicine helps the rash it still does not mean it is an allergy (something our allergist likes to remind us of). Do the hives come and go at all or are new ones showing up?

LO has FPIES so we are avoiding a TON of foods which cause vomiting and blood in his stools. He has a classic IgE allergy to yeast which causes a similar rash to your LO all over his body, his eyes become swollen with allergy "shiners", and his throat starts to itch and he gets hives and neon red cheeks.

Let me know if you need any resources or help with anything. Unfortunately the only real 'treatment' is avoiding the food and sometimes it is so hard because it can be a food our LO's love! If it is an allergy I hope he outgrows it!

@yoursilverlining: Strangely he didn't have it on his hands, and there were little red dots, especially down by his diaper line.

Poor E! My E seems to be allergic to pears and her rash looked very similar to those pics, except that there were more defined red spots as well. The rash was worst where she touched the pears; so on her hands/palms, wrists, etc. It didn't seem to bother her, but it made me feel like a shitty parent as well. :/

@FutureMrsMcK: I think P may be allergic to wheat! I omitted it from my/her diet for months and when we tried to re-introduce it she ended up with hives & a swollen eye. It took about a week of exposure but I'm pretty sure it was infact the wheat. Makes me sad =(

I gave E strawberries yesterday. He loved them but got a lot of juice on his chest and stomach. By last night he had developed a rash on his stomach and chest, around to his back.

It looks a lot better this morning, but I called his pedi and age said strawberries are a common allergen and that I didn't need to bring him in and that there's a good chance he'll grow out of it but I should wait until he's over a year before offering again (which makes me sad because he LOVED them).

The rash itself doesn't seem to have bothered him but it added to feeling super shitty last night...I mean, what if it had been more than just a skin reaction?

Is your LO allergic to any foods?

(Bad lighting, it was more starkly red in person)
