At 21 weeks, I'm still only eating limited portions of meat... the look and smell of raw and cooked meat still is unpleasant to me. I use to be such a meat lover too! Now I have to supplement by eating yogurt, tofu, cheeses, etc. in order to get enough protein.

@andreaon: me too! I would always turn to frozen waffles because it was one of the few things I could eat.

My only food aversion was plain, white, steamed rice (and I'm Asian!). I couldn't stand the smell of it steaming away...Looking at it made me vomit (they looked like maggots to me)...And the taste was gummy and gag worthy. This last all of the first trimester. As soon as I was well into my pregnancy, the aversion disappeared and I was back to normal. :o)

I have an aversion to meat as well! Barbequed and fried foods aren't very appealing to me either. I can only stomach bland foods.

With both my pregnancies, I've had aversions to meat and eggs. I just cannot tolerate them! Usually, if I need to eat but everything sounds gross, I'll eat some yogurt or drink a fruit smoothie.

I had a massive aversion to bacon or any pork product which made my family laugh because I was the bacon/carnitas queen.

I am currently having a strong aversion to meat and chicken. This week at work, my lunch has consisted of leftover sushi rice and an avocado. My dinner last night was a hard boiled egg, an apple, a granola bar and a peanut butter sandwich - all eaten over a period of an hour and a half.

During your pregnancy, did you have food aversions? What did you end up eating when nothing really sounded good?
