I have a few favorite pizza guys. If none of them are there, I find something else for dinner. I make sure the management knows they're good, too! :)

@Corduroy: have you found the inconsistencies are due to personal preference or just not following the recipe?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I work for a restaurant chain and a big part of my job is making sure this doesn't happen.

@Mrs. Twine: I do all the cooking at home as well. Mr. Lime has influenced the fridge staples: spinach and cheese. I like cheese, but he loooves cheese.

I do pretty much all of our cooking, but at our house, I like big chunks, and Mr. T likes tiny pieces. If I'm cooking, I just do big chunks without thinking and he always teases me about it. And Ellie and Lorelei are cheese fiends, so when we make burritos or fajitas, theirs are basically cheese with a small side of some other ingredients. Both will request, "A cheese pile." Classy kiddos ;)

I started my errand day by grabbing a chicken slouvaki pita a t my favorite corner Gyro shop. This is such a treat because the guy making the pitas clearly likes onions. If he isn't behind the counter I may not see let alone taste more than a sliver or two.

Funny how one's own preferences dictates how they make other people's food. I notice the same thing at Panera Bread with the gorgonzola cheese.

Do you have any restaurant goodies that are made differently depending on who is making it?
