I found for little toddlers, Italian dressing seems to be too harsh/sour for their tastebuds (or maybe its just my kids). My guys will go for a French, sesame ginger, honey mustard, or poppyseed dressings (we like the Brianna's brand). I would toss with cucumbers, snap peas, and frozen veggies like peas, carrots, corn, and green beans. My kids don't like raw tomatoes or olives! Might add some cubed ham if needed or baked tofu.

if you live near a Trader Joes: they have pigs in a blanket that are AMAZING. Its random, but people devour them so I always have them when I host. Just heat in the oven and serve - so simple!

For pasta salad I just do noodles, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, black olives, and shredded parm mixed with italian dressing. That will hold up for awhile un-refrigerated.

I did this for my DD's 3rd.

We had:
Figaro's fruit
Goofy's grapes
Clarebelle's Moo-balls (bbq meatballs in crock pot)
Hot diggity dogs (mini cocktail wieners in crock pot)
Daisy's Chips and Dip
Donald's cheese and Quackers
Mickey's cookies (dipped oreos in red choc and put on buttons to look like mickey)
Minnie carrots and dip (baby carrots and dip)

@LindsayInNY: yep, do pb&j and then something like cheese ( I would do a spreadable one like laughing cow to really make it easy). Or you can do lightly flavored cream cheese?

English muffin pizzas with Mickey ear pepperoni (use regular size pepperoni for the head and mini pepperoni or olive slices for the ears). They can be made on a big cookie sheet and just served at room temp. Little kids can't eat scalding hot pizza anyway.

Our you could just buy a heavier duty metal Mickey cookie cutter and stamp out cheese or jelly sandwiches.

They also sell those Mickey/Disney veggie chips - they look like Mickey Ears and are sold next to the Veggie Straws at the store.

@looch: That's a good idea! Maybe I can do PB&J and a non-PB one?

@yoursilverlining: I was just googling non-mayo based cold pasta salads so I think that will work.

@littlebug: That might be a good snack idea too!

@Miss Ariel: Such good ideas!! I have to go to Target anyways so maybe I'll have luck finding something like that.

For Dd's second birthday I made Minnie bows with two strawberries and a blueberry. I also did Mickey themed veggies trays with tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers, and black olives. Then I made Plutos Puppy chow which was Chex with chocolate, pb, and powdered sugar. Donald was Dips and Chips. Also I found a bag of Mickey shaped veggies straws at Target.

I would do bow tie cold pasta salad. We did the same thing for LO's 2nd bday. We just hot dogs. Then I made these along with cupcakes for desserts. The cupcakes had Mickey ears in them that I made out of paper on a lollipop stick.

We're doing a "Two-dles" Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party later this month for DD. It'll be outside at a playground. I'm trying to plan a menu, keeping the warmer (hopefully) weather in mind and no ability to BBQ or keep food warm. It's a mid-afternoon party so I was just going to have snacks. Any suggestions? So far I have:
- Donald's Cheese and Quackers
- Pete/s/Pluto's Pretzels or Potato Chips
- Goofy's Goldfish or Grapes
- Oh Toodles Noodles (maybe - unsure about having them out in warm weather if there's dairy?)
- Mickey
- Minnie
- Daisy
