@shopaholic: @glimmersnaps: @matador84: thanks so much ladies. I had a really rough night last night. Didn't get to sleep til 3am and think I actually pulled muscles in my neck and shoulders from vomiting so violently. Urgh. I think I'll try the smaller meals thing. The trouble is I'm never hungry, and that makes me worry the baby isn't getting enough nutrients so then I force myself to eat more and it makes me sick. I haven't gained any weight yet but baby is measuring fine so OB isn't worried.

I did have some really bad heartburn in the 2nd tri. Had to sleep kind of upright. Nauseau and food aversions throughout the pregnancy. I also would throw up every morning bushing my teeth. OB said I had acid reflux and told me to take Pepcid everyday, which definitely helped with all of it. If I'd stop, it'd all get worse.

I had terrible heartburn with my first and now with my second it's starting but at 25 weeks. The best advice I have is to eat small meals-- like constantly graze. I ate Tums all the time. Also I've heard celery and licorice (tea?) can help. Try to stay upright after eating, preferably walking.

I had extremely bad heartburn...even drinking water would make it flare up. Eventually it turned into acid reflux whic caused me to choke on the acid leading to vomiting which was not fun at all. I would see if your doctor can prescribe an acid reducer or take over the counter Prilosec. I was stubborn and refused to take anything forever and eventually it got so bad toward the end I couldn't take it anymore and caved and wish Id taken something a lot sooner. I always had to make sure and stay sitting up for an hour at least after eating otherwise my stomach wash settled and whatever I just ate would come back up. Hope this helps!

Ok Ewl, don't read this if your eating.

I'm just wondering of anyone else has this problem. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and everytime I get heartburn badly I feel really sick and end up vomiting. I have had pretty yucky morning sickness since 6 weeks but I think I've found a new connection.

I just ate pasta for dinner, an hour later wasn't feeling well so went to bed. Layed there with horrible heartburn and then vomited really violently for 5 minutes ( I seriously think I pulled something in my back!)
So I think everytime I eat something wheat heavy, bread, pasta etc it gives me heartburn with in turn turns into vomiting. So I'm going to tone down on wheat and see how that goes?

Did anyone else has this issue? Not necessarily with wheat?
