@Dandelion: :( So sorry! I had it over Christmas and DH had me sip pedialyte because I couldn't eat anything. The second day I ate an egg and on Christmas I was finally able to eat a little bit. I just drank as much water as I could without feeling sick.

Well, the vomiting stopped, but now my abs feel like I've been punched hard in the stomach. I really hope that it'll be over tomorrow, cause I'd really love some real food.

not fun at all! If it is food poisoning, the best thing to do is wait it out. I wouldn't try to eat or drink anything until you have stopped getting sick for at least an hour. Once you can do that, I would sip on ginger beer/ale (make sure it has real ginger in it!) and then progress with the BRAT diet after you keep that down.

Hope you feel better soon!

Ew. I am so sorry. DH has had it before, and it sent them to the ER. Have you tried a banana? Those are easy on the stomach. Also, when he had it, it made his potassium really low. Bananas help with that, too.

Feel better!

Try a BRAT diet. I had a stomach bug last Monday and the BRAT diet helped until my stomach could handle regular food.

And feel better!!!

Do you have any ginger tea? I used to drink ginger ale for an upset stomach, but the sugar content often made it hard to get down. Tea doesn't have sugar in it, so it's a little easier to get down (although I am not a great fan of the taste of many ginger teas--they can be really strong!). Feel better!

Ugh - It's the worst. Keep trying to drink clear fluids, especially water. Take small bites of bland food - toast (no butter), crackers, etc. Hope you feel better soon!

I unfortunately had it last weekend :( I threw up 8 times in 24 hours, and lost 7 lbs. Honestly? Nothing really made it better until it was all out of my system. I drank water or Gatorade, and threw it up shortly after. I'd just rest as much as possible, that was the only thing that mildly helped. I hope you feel better! I totally commiserate :/

My mom is bringing me some ginger ale. I feel bad, because DH is helping my inlaws move and I really wanted to be helpful.

I'm so sorry! I had food poisoning once from a picnic food, and my friend got it, too. It felt like stabbing pains all throughout my abdomen, and I had diarrhea. Just try to stay hydrated through little sips of something like Gatorade. My friend went to the hospital for good drugs and fluids, which I should have done.

I had food poisoning once when I was only about 13. Literally one of the worst experiences of my life (And I also had dysentery when I was 15!).

I ended up throwing up 18 times in about 24 hours. I threw up ice chips, sprite, everything. I couldn't even sit up in the bed without getting dizzy and throwing up again..

Luckily, in about 48 hours, it had all gotten out of my system and I was fine again.

Ever have it?

I'm suffering from the aftermath of a bad egg roll. I'm sure it's the egg roll, because DH and my cousin ate the same stuff as I did yesterday, but I'm the only one who ate the egg roll.

Now, my stomach isn't allowing any food since last night. Tried with a McGriddle this morning, but it came back up.

Any ideas for comfort? I feel like there's a rock in my abdomen, and it hurts. I'm not going to try to eat anything else today.
