So, my favorite party food is basic ruffles chips and French onion dip. It doesn’t sound exciting but it’s it’s always gobbled up.

We did something similar for my son's birthday party last year except that it was more like a large play date with about 5 other kids, their associated adults, and then my parents and sister. So probably a total of about 5 kids and 12 adults.

This was our menu:

Crustless mini quiches
Bacon
Vanilla flavored Greek yogurt, granola and mixed berries
Fruit skewers for the kids
Crudités with tzatziki
Silver dollar pancakes -- plain and chocolate chip
Coffee
Orange juice
Some sort of sparkling wine like prosecco (for mimosas)
Juice boxes
Water
Birthday cake

The fruit skewers and crudités were barely touched. Everything else was demolished.

We made everything ahead of time except the pancakes which I made during the party. But we have an open concept kitchen/living room so I was still basically at the party. And we got pancake mix to save time with the prep.

I did all the prep work for the mini quiches the day before including chopping and sauteing the fillings. So in the morning I just had to assemble and bake them.

The fruit skewers looked great but were a ton of work and no one ate them. So I would definitely skip that next time. Crudités with tzatziki have been big hits at other parties so I think it was just the wrong time of day.

Mini quiches or the Costco croissant sandwiches are pretty good.

I was going to suggest mini quiches from Costco too! What about a pretty fruit platter? https://www.pinterest.com/pin/48343395980959324/

Maybe buy some yogurt at Costco too and lay that out?

We did something similar but also had build your own sandwiches for people who wanted lunch food. And had chips. So sandwiches, bagels, fruit, chips, meat/cheese, and desserts.

Do they have mini quiches at TJs? I feel like quiche is a great brunch option, and the mini ones would be easy to eat...

Looking for suggestion for food to serve.

We're doing a family only party for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It'll be all adults (she's going to Disneyland the next day.). Looking for suggestions for foods for a brunch time casual get together. So far I have a meat and cheese board, a build a bagel bar (lox, spreads, veggies, jams...), fruit, desserts. I feel like I need a few more options (my family is big on having lots of food at gatherings.)

Must be:
-finger/hand foods preferred as we won't have enough space for everyone to sit and use two utensils
-must be super easy to put together as I'm 8 months pregnant.
-I have access to Costco and Trader Joe's so anything easy from those places would work great.

Thanks ladies!
