I'd probably just suggest tortellini, pesto, and peas!

If it were my DH I would give him takeout recommendations. First night I would tell him to pick up a pizza and have it with some cut fruit that I'd leave behind and milk. Another night I would recommend they get Chinese and tell DH to give DS some chicken chow mein with the noodles cut up or fried rice. Fruit and milk.

These are great ideas!

I am going to get things sorted for them to have quesadillas one day and pasta the next. Both easy and quick and he can do them, if I leave instructions...

So not necessarily the healthiest choices, but when I'm going to be away and leave a list of things LO will eat I include:
Frozen tortellini and meatballs with jarred sauce
Mac and cheese (Annie's, from a box)
Frozen vegetables (peas or mixed) with chicken nuggets or chicken sausage
Bagels and cream cheese
Breakfast type foods- scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, yogurt and cereal

DH doesn't cook much either so these are all in his wheelhouse.

Eta: who am I kidding- I make these half the week too. And I sah. :silly:

So I am going out of town (WOOOOOOOT!!!) for 2 days with no husband or kids. My husband does approximately 0% of the cooking for our family, though he does grill things I prepare.
I am trying to think of dinner ideas he can put together easily after work tomorrow and Friday. I was thinking I would prepare a lasagne today, but truth...I don't want to do that much work! Ha. Any other suggestions?
