DS is almost 3 and in size 9's now. And the fun part of it all is that he'll always have his growth spurt right in the middle of the season so I have to buy his shoes in multiple sizes to get through.

It's been super variable for us. She was in 3s for awhile, grew out of 4s fast, was in 5s for what felt like a long time (I definitely threw away several pairs that had developed holes), and now that I've started buying 6s, I feel like she's already almost ready for 7s after only a few weeks. It's a total mystery to me.

DS's feet have always been huge (thanks to my family  ). He's currently 2 (just turned 2 about 2 weeks ago) and I'm buying him size 8s because he's starting to bust out of his 7s. I've had to buy him the next size up every 6 months or so. And, he wears them down so much that we can only save about half of our shoes for whenever we have our next!

The first time I put shoes on LO (well before she could walk) she was a 5. She stayed a 5 for a long time, until she was about 2. Now she's 2.5 years old and a 7.5. Foot growth is hard to predict.

C's feet grew like crazy until 2 and then she's gone up maybe a .5 size in a year and a half.

DS is 2 and seems to be changing shoe sizes every 3-4 months. He was a 5 this spring, 5.5 this summer, and will solidly be a 6 this fall. So we have quite a shoe collection since he started walking when he was a size 3.5.

I feel like I have the opposite problem (although DD is not quite 13 months yet). We have been in size 3s forever! I bought most of her "cute" shoes (moccasins, boots, sparkly Crocs) in size 4 figuring she would be there about 12 months, but this girl's feet just won't grow!

I started putting her in the 4s anyway, and daycare keeps sending them back because she just pulls them off (probably because of the sparkles, right?)

I've found this is really kid dependent. DS's feet seem to grow very slowly. I buy his sneakers half a size up and winter and rain boots a full size up. He got 2 winters out of his last pair winter boots and rain boots and a full school year out of his last pair of sneakers.

DD has gone up 2 shoe sizes since this spring. I just had to buy her all new shoes. Luckily, I think she's going to fit into DS's first pair of winter boots this year.

I wish there was a pattern or something that made sense, but like all things baby: they vary so much! My DD was walking in a size 2 shoe. I had the hardest time finding her shoes. She was in 3s and 4s for a blink and then 5s were a good 6 months. She's almost 3 years old and barely in a 6. My DS isn't even walking and already wears a size 5?! He's about to be a year old and is just growing faster than I can keep up. 😐

DD definitely got her feet from DH. I've been buying her a few sizes ahead since she's learned to walk, but it seems her sweet little feet aren't slowing down anytime soon. She's 3 and it feels like her feet are growing faster than ever!

I always buy 2 sizes up in winter/rain boots but it's come to the point where I'm buying her shoes almost in her current size because anything bigger is so ginormous it looks ridiculous!

When did your LO actually start wearing down a pair of shoes? At what age did s/he wear a size the longest? To anyone with big-footed munchkins, at what age will their height catch up to their shoe size?

Thanks!
