The only thing I see that may make her think that is that he likes to hold on tightly to his bottle but when I take it out and sit him up he smiles and is happy. My daycare woman harassed me about needing to give more milk for months. I was giving 5 oz bottles and he always fussed when he finished a bottle. But then he would usually go 2-3 hours between bottles. The fussing happened at home as well, but with a little distraction, he was fine. He was gaining weight well and I truly think the fussing is just that he enjoys it and doesn't want to stop. I finally talked to the director of the daycare about it and the daycare woman stopped saying anything to me. Yes, milk fat will adjust according to your LO's age. My LO fit in that range and actually drank less as he approached one year. As he increased his intake of solids, he wasn't able to finish his bottles. Also he could only drink about 5 oz of milk in a single bottle, even at a year. Of course each baby is different. I would assess how well he drinks on the weekends and whether or not you feel he needs more per feeding. Recently we have been supplementing a bottle of formula a day so that I'm less stressed about keeping up with my supply.<br /> Today, my daycare provider made a "friendly suggestion" to my husband that we should increase how much milk we give him by 2oz! She said he doesn't seem satisfied after his bottle like he is after his formula. It was my understanding that you don't increase how much you give your baby when it comes to breast milk and that the fat content in the milk changes right?? I also assumed that if my LO wanted more milk he would cry/whine for more right?! I'm a little irritated that she suggested this, but now I'm doubting myself if I really should be giving him more? I think he will gulp it down but I don't want to be overfeeding him. What would you guys do?? </p>
