DD goes to school half day MWF. In the afternoons on MWF we just play at home. On TuTh we have an outing....varies day to day.....park, play date, library, discovery center, grocery store, etc.

When LO is in preschool 2 days per week in the fall, she'll do dance class on one of the alternate days and I think we will keep up our regular Wednesday playdates, so I'm guessing we'll just have one "free" day and we'll hang out and play at home

@winniebee: that's another good idea. My son loves being dropped off to play. I should do a yoga class or something and drop him off to play. Win – win.

Park, lots of time at library, playtime at home (almost 3 year old & 4 year old), errands, soccer, visiting grandma, arts n crafts, reading, walks. They entertain each other!

Same as @SweetiePie: i have my DD in a class on one of the off days. She's home with my mom all day and the alternate activities. I think it's most driven by my DD though. My mom is a baker so they do a lot of baking together.

T is with the nanny one of the days, sometimes 2 if I have a heavy work week. She always takes them on an outing (museum, library, indoor play gym) and he has a "dance class" late in the day that day. Mondays is a maybe nanny day, maybe mom day depending on if I have to work. If he's with me I usually take them to the Y and I work out and they play at the Kids Club. And then we run errands later in the day usually. On Fridays we go to music class together, then out to lunch after. The afternoon he is allowed TV time and we hang together while is brother naps.

Lo goes 2 mornings a week. One morning we go to gymnastics, one morning we usually either have playgroup, a mom's group where the kids have a babysitter and all play together, or just schedule a playdate with a friend. The remaining day is our day "off" and we will usually do errands, clean the house, go for walks or the playground, the library, etc. We will also use this day to visit with family which is a 1-1.5 hour drive each way. When we are just at home, we play with the train table a lot, do puzzles, read books, paint or color, play doh, or just go out in the yard. They also love to help with chores, like the dishes, laundry, vacuuming, and cooking.
I try to limit the TV to the morning while I shower and get ready and immediately after nap while they wake up and eat a snack but sometimes they do end up watching way too much. I am hoping to cut most of it out when the weather is nicer.

In addition to two days a week in preschool this fall, he'll probably take 1 other class on an "off" day (either sports or art or gym). We also have a library a block away that has toddler time. And we have a park/playground across the street that we go to almost daily. And his preschool has an indoor gym we can use when they aren't using it.

Other than that I usually cycle between the following:
TV
Coloring/drawing/water coloring (maybe by the fall we can do even more crafty stuff)
Music/dancing
Running errands with him in the stroller and talking a lot about what we are doing and seeing (usually groceries or bed bath and beyond)
Reading
Physical play indoors (some kind of climbing/chasing/hiding)
Going to lunch somewhere usually kills time and he loves it.
We have a pool in our building so I might do that if I feel like it.

what do you do for/with them on their non-school days?

I'm trying to keep DS1 occupied and interested on his non-school days with activities that don't involve screentime!

The weather is still cold here, so the last few days we've gone to the library, barnes and noble, marshalls/target :P , painted with new art supplies at home, etc.
