I was charting. My due date is right on with my charting, and LO measured within one day of the due date last visit.

I'm curious about this, too. I was charting and I've been measuring consistently 4 days ahead... which oddly enough would give me a due date aligned with LMP and not O day (which was CD18). Guess I'll find out in January (or December?).

All of my scans had my EDD around 4 days before what I considered my "real" EDD based on my chart. I had LO 3 weeks before my EDD anyway. :)

At my 12wk scan they brought my due date forward a week. My due date is in 3 days time and I see no signs of her arriving, so I'm convinced she's going to stick to her original LMP date of 9/26.

I have long cycles, so when I told my MWs what I thought my O date was, they used that instead of my LMP. I wasn't charting temps, though, I was using other O signals that I've learned through my previous months and months of temping (gave up temping after about a year and a half because the other sign were so clear it wasn't really necessary). Anyway, they didn't do a dating scan but at both the NT and anatomy scans the baby was measuring 1 day ahead, so pretty close to where we expected it to be. We'll see how close the birth date ends up being!

I didn't chart - I went through IVF so my due date was spot on. I had to be induced at 41 weeks due to GD. But I was born two weeks late so I'm thinking genetics played a role in LO not wanting to budge.

I knew my EDD to be the 17th based on O.
According to my OB, who went by a 28day chart, my EDD was the 12th. So, 5 days earlier.
I gave birth on the 15th. So, smack dab in the middle :)

Of course, there are women who go through IVF and still they go 3 weeks early or 2 weeks late. Labor is all hormonal. A "button" in the brain goes off and triggers the labor to begin.
It is nice to know your real EDD though, so in your heart, you know if your baby is done baking or not.

i had extremely long cycles when i conceived and i only knew my EDD because of it. the OB originally told me it looked like a miscarriage because i should have been showing more (they said 8 weeks based on LMP when i was 5 bc of my O date) after they confirmed with blood work, they did a dating U/S and it was the same exact EDD as my O date said. i gave birth 4 days before my EDD.

I had LO exactly one day before my due date! My due date was based on LMP, which made it one day different than if it was based on my charting, and i measured right on track the entire time. I don't know if that's the norm, but I was confident that my due date was correct (within a couple of days).

I happened to be charting when we got our BFP and my due date at 33 weeks is still measuring exactly on. I am just wondering other Bee's experiences with this...does it make you more likely to be close to your due date? I am not expecting a timer to go off on my due date and for the kiddo to be born right then but I am wondering if it at least seems to ensure slightly more accuracy (as in not going two weeks over?)
