She just keeps insisting she *can* remember perfectly. This conversation all came about because my LO has been having a stretch of bad eating again for the past 2 weeks and averaging only 18 oz of bm a day, plus barely eating solids (like a couple tablespoons on a GOOD day) at each meal.</p> <p>And my mom is like, oh, stop worrying...16.5 lbs is big for a 9 month old---she's fine! Your sister was only 18 lbs at 2 years. Blah blah. I know 16.5 lbs isn't tiny but it's definitely not *big* for a 9 month old and not big enough that I feel like I can stop caring about how much my LO is eating!</p> <p>You know...Moms, what can you do...I know she's trying to help in her way, but it doesn't help me when she acts like I'm overreacting for no reason. He only gained 2 ounces from 12-18 months. He's very tall but very skinny. If he wasn't tall I could see 18lbs being a possibility.
