@wonderstruck: Thanks for your input! I knew there was no logical way they were PG symptoms, but I am relieved to hear that I am not the only one after getting off BCP. I was only on BCP for 5 months and I did get an LH surge this cycle (hopefully I O-ed) but I guess only time will tell.

Getting off birth control can really mess with your hormones. Not to be a downer, but it's unlikely you'd be experiencing symptoms this early, and getting pregnant your first cycle off birth control is quite rare. Certainly not impossible, I just know the first few months of TTC were rough for me because of getting my hopes up.

@snowjewelz: That is such a good point-- I bet it's the hormones! I got off BCP, Zoloft (for mild anxiety) and started-TTC all in one month! That's a lot! Thanks for the support!

As previous posters mentioned, unfortunately PMS and period related symptoms are similar to pregnancy symptoms ... it's a cruel, cruel world. :silly:

Personally, I didn't have any symptoms until well after I tested positive. Good luck!

It takes 6-12 days to just implant.
The pregnancy hormone (which causes symptoms) HCG doesn't start until implantation has occurred ad doesn't get to a substantial level for a few days. So, at 6dpo, even if you are KU this cycle, there will be no evidence in symptoms.
That being said, progesterone levels (which rise immediately post-O) can cause many symptoms which resemble pregnancy symptoms.

Symptom spotting is tricky! I will say that since I started TTCing my symptoms change month to month and I have had all your symptoms.

Testing is the only way to be sure. Good luck! :)

I never noticed any symptoms (except killer lower back ache) before my bfp. They all set in later, like 6 weeks, and the random emotional craziness didn't *really* hit till even later. I'm 19 weeks, and it's only in the last month or two that I'm really having random meltdowns.

That being said, I agree with @snowjewelz, I wouldn't count it out or in. It could go either way. It's definitely not a bad sign at least, and it could be a very good one!

I used to drive myself crazy symptom spotting... as tough as it is, the best thing to do is wait until your period is due (or a couple days before, if you really can't wait) and take a test. Good luck to you!

I hate to say this, but my first cycle off BCP, I was sure I was pregnant because I was being SO.FREAKING.WEEPY. It ends up I had forgotten what PMS was like (I hadn't had AF in over a year).

Oddly, both my husband and I commented on the month that I got my BFP that I was shockingly chipper and totally even-keeled (even said I felt the happiest I had in awhile). Pregnancy psychosis set-in a few weeks later.

All symptoms can pretty much be associated with both AF and a BFP. It's a total mind game. Fingers crossed for you!!

Unfortunately, symptoms are usually a poor way to predict pregnancy. Many pregnancy symptoms happen to also be PMS symptoms, which can be frustrating for sure!

Personally, I had zero symptoms until 4 weeks pregnant (after AF was due to arrive) where I started to feel very slight nausea. It was so subtle though I thought I was just getting sick or ate something I didn't agree with.

The only thing to do is wait until AF is supposed to show and take a test! Good luck!

It can be so many things at this point! Since you just got off BCP, it can be that your hormones are just going wacko, plus the stress of the TWW! I wouldn't count it in OR out as as BFP smyptom... I know the wait is long, but you'll be there soon to test! Fx :goodluck:

Okay, so this is my first month TTC and I am on 6DPO. I know it is way too soon for pregnancy symptoms but I have been really, really weepy for the last 24 hours. I am a bit crampy, but what is most out of the ordinary is how emotional I have been. I have already cried four times today. I am a fairly sensitive person...but never like this! Maybe it's the stress (but I just started feeling this way,) maybe it's getting of BCP a month ago...I am not sure. I know no one can tell me if I am KU or not but I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Thank you!!!
