After our second child's worn the clothes, we're going to give them away or sell them. We've received some nice hand me downs. I'd like to do the same thing. Also, I don't want to hoard the clothes or anything like that. I'm not attached to them in a sentimental nature. I'll keep a few items at best, but not a suitcase's worth like my MIL did. Mostly because I just love them and can't part with them yet. However, at the same time, it makes sense to just sell/give them away. Unless we have the same sex and have them at the same time of year, it doesn't make too much sense to keep them. I have another box for everything he doesn't wear so I can give that away when I fill it up. I don't know if we will keep them after this baby. Our basement is finished so we don't have a ton of storage space like we had at our old house. I think maybe we'll keep the good stuff but after this baby a lot of the items will have been worn by 5 kids so they will probably be about ready to be retired anyway. Same thing with my maternity clothes. I kept the clothes from the first one (boy) because the second one (girl) was so closely born afterwards. DS was 13 months old when DD was born. The whole sell/give away/donate thing. Some shirts that I don't think I can replace or truly gender neutral items I'm keeping. The onesies that aren't too stained? Keep.Some boy clothes and some girl clothes I'll keep also, my favorites. But I figure in a year my tastes may change and fashions will too so I'll just get new stuff by the time bebe 3 comes along!</p> <p>And yes, we'll probably be Team Green a third time. Luckily #1 and #2 are the same sex, so I don't have to worry about it.</p> <p>I would keep the clothes if I had the room. Even if I didn't have the room... I'd probably find a way to keep them. Unless you know someone having a baby right now that you could loan the clothes to? That way you'd get a break from storing them for a little. </p>
