Aside from the careers, this is pretty much my exact same situation (ages of us, kids and all). DH would really like a third LO but I am happy with two; although at times I think about having another baby. DH brings it up every once in a while and I just push the discussion off. Unfortunately no advise, Good luck

I have always wanted a big family but I still want to remain a WOHM. We would not be able to do 3 daycare payments but as long as DS (baby #1) is in school before #3 comes, I think we will be fine and will stick to the plan of having 3! Good luck!

My 2nd is only 3 months but we've already started talking about plans for a 3rd. It does seem more daunting with finances, traveling logistics and just general chaos but I think we'll probably try for a 3rd in maybe two years. DH is going to start residency in the summer so we're going to wait for him to get out of his first year, he did pick a fairly family friendly field so hopefully after his first year it won't be soo bad. I have a PhD but I pulled back a lot to just teaching occasionally once we started a family (but I was unhappy in what I was doing before) and I'm not sure what direction I want to go in yet but for the immediate future it will probably be only part time.

So I guess we've been making career sacrifices but I really like what @Mamasig: said " But in the end, I think I may regret not trying for a third. I know that I would never regret having a 3rd child!"

Right now I am pregnant with my 2nd but DH and I already talk about a 3rd. Yes, the thought of 3 kids can be scary but it's the family size I keep coming back to. They are little for such a short period of time that I'm trying not to let that scare me. Honestly, finances are what scare me the most! But in the end, I think I may regret not trying for a third. I know that I would never regret having a 3rd child!

I've found myself thinking about Baby #3, after being completely against it since #2's birth. My husband wants a 3rd, but we haven't discussed it too seriously yet.

DS is 3.5 year old and DD is 15 months old. I'm 36. My husband and I have very busy careers (I'm a doctor and DH is a tenure-track professor who travels often). I've pulled back to part-time, which has helped a lot. But, I definitely still work more than 40 hours week with weekend call and life is still a little crazy. DH's parents live a flight away; my parents help a lot, but they live 2.5 hours away by car and are in their 70s. We have no other family nearby.

Anyway, I realize no one can answer this for me, but I just wanted to hear some perspectives from women who were unsure, but decided to go for #3. Sometimes life is so crazy, I think it would be way too much for me to have 3 young kids. But, then I think I'm being short-sighted and the kids are young for a relatively short period of time. And, they don't have much family (they only have 2 cousins), so I think about my kids having relatives when they are adults.

Anyway, sorry this is such an epic post. Thanks for reading.
