We are doing a home birth, and I'm 100% certain it will cost us way less than a hospital birth. We ended paying out of our HSA account. My SIL had much better coverage through their insurance which didn't require the CNM certification. My first homebirth was fully covered by insurance but now I have Anthem Blue Cross (PPO) and have heard horrible stuff about them and homebirth coverage :-/ </p>
