We started swim lessons (they are free until 6 mos at a local school) so that has given me much more confidence. The main thing is to go very slowly. I have a little bucket where I make a soapy mixture with a washcloth, work in baby quadrants, then rinse from head to toe. He loves anything to do with water.

I usually shower him first since he will get crabby if left to his own devices in the pack and play, then I swaddle him in his towel and set him in his Boppy on the bathmat next outside the tub, then finish my shower. He is usually calm and relaxed after his shower and will give me plenty of time.

As soon as LJ could sit reliably, we started taking showers with her and allowing her to sit on a mat on the ground. We're doing baths with both right now.

I never showered with M until recently, she's now 2 yrs old... she just likes standing there stomping around while I wash myself then I usually soap her down and wash her hair. I only do it when I sleep in and need to take a shower while she's awake and dad is out of the house. She enjoys it, though!

Haha. We used to take baths with our Lo. I think showers together are better when Lo can stand on his/her own. I definitely wouldn't shower with a Lo under the age of 6 months

I'm just wondering how do you do it?? Isn't the baby slippery? And how do you manage to wash yourself, let alone your hair?
