It ended up working out. It wasn't bad and my body just adjusted to replenish about every 12 hours.

The problem for us was on weekends when we were together and she wanted to continue to nurse all day.

Yes, but it was already starting to decline because he was nursing less. It also took a few months for it to decline further after I stopped pumping. I stopped pumping at the end of 13 months, and saw a significant decline at 16 months. By then we was just comfort nursing anyway, and we started dropping a feeding a month. The process was actually a lot smoother than I expected.

My morning and bedtime supply always seem(ed) to be fine . . . I gradually dropped from 3, to 2, to 1, and then to 0 pumping sessions during the day (I dropped a session every 3 weeks or so, starting around 8.5ish months). Now at almost 12 months (she turns 1 on the 1st!), we are down to just morning and evening nursing sessions and some random mini-sessions on the weekends--although I am pretty sure those are just comfort sessions--and she still naps on me with a boob *sigh* . . . everything in good time!

how were your morning and bedtime supply affected when you started to cut out pumping sessions?

i am trying to time/plan for when i cut down pumping sessions at work in the next few months and want to be cognizant of every bit of info re:weaning as possible! :)
