I started in mid December and we cut the mid day one. Then we cut the dream feed. Then we were at two a day 12 hours apart for 2 months and I just quit cold turkey last Sunday. I haven't had any pain or engorgement.

Earth Mama Angel Baby makes a tea that is helpful in reducing milk supply: http://www.amazon.com/No-More-Milk-Tea-Bags/dp/B003M7HKCY I've never used it because I have the opposite problem, but I trust the company and have known other women who have used it and found it helpful. Sage (the herb) is also known to reduce milk production. Which makes me so sad because... yum! I also ran across this: http://www.bflrc.com/ljs/breastfeeding/dryupfst.htm . Good luck!

I weaned from the pump at 13 months, and it took me a full month to fully wean. I was pumping 5 times a day and slowly increased my time between pumps. I spent about 20-25 minutes each session. If I became uncomfortable I would pump enough to ease the pain. I was so scared of clogged ducts and that's why I took the slow approach. I did have a few clogs that were easily cleared up with an Epsom salt soak. Weaning isn't easy. Just take your time and try not to stress out too much.

I just cut out one session at a time. I usually did it for a week before cutting out the next feeding. If you are pumping I think you can also just pump to release some pressure don't empty your breasts.

whether from pumping or nursing....

I'm almost 9 months in on EPing and am SO DONE with it.. except, I'm not.
I pump 3x a day, 7am, 5pm and 10/11pm. I'm starting to reduce my pump time at my last session first. I reduce my pumping time by 15 minutes and my boobs have been sore for almost 2 weeks! It has finally just started to not hurt as much... but I feel at this rate, my LO will be ONE by the time I'm done.

How did you wean and how long did it take you? Any tips to make this go by faster?
