My practice is only 1 OB but he has another practice with 1 OB that covers for him if he's out (he does the same for them). Last pregnancy, I never met the OB from the other practice and was induced so my OB delivered DD. This pregnancy, I had some cramping which I wanted checked out (turned out to either be BH or baby pushing against my anterior placenta) but my OB was out of town so I got to meet the "emergency coverage" OB. I'm hoping that when I deliver it will be with my regular OB, while the other doc was nice enough I really like my OB (and so does DH).

There were 5 doctors and I disliked one of them. Of course, she was the one who delivered. She needed to work on her bedside manner, she acted like I was completely inconveniencing her for having my baby at 3am. Like that was what I wanted just to screw with her! As if I could control it.
This pregnancy, we are delivering at a hospital that my practice doesn't deliver at so I won't know the doctor at all! Since it's my second, I'm not too worried. We'll probably only see him or her for about 20 mins anyway.

There are 5 doctors and a midwife in my practice. I would have been fine with any of them, but my absolute favorite happened to be on call while I was in labor. I was SO thankful!!!

i did not like both doctors delivered me. but with olive's delivery, i actually had two doctors. the one who did most of the work was a more junior doctor, and she was awesome. i credit her for me being able to deliver olive as quickly as i did. she is not a regular ob in my practice though.

My doctor is a single doctor practice so I didnt have to worry about that....HA! When I was at week 38, a snafu happened at the hospital with my doctor's malpractice insurance, so he wasnt allowed to deliver any babies for another 3 weeks. Way to throw a curveball to a pregnant woman getting ready for a c-section right? What he did was introduce me to the doctor he shares an office with (common here in NYC. My OB has the office 3 days a week, and has a secondary office the other 2 days. This other doctor has that office the other 2 days plus they share the 3rd day, but dont share patients. anyways...) and reasuured me over and over that he was very good. I immediately Googled him, and his credentials were top notch, so since my OB so highly reocmmended him, I wasnt worried. I ended up loving him. My OB was in the OR talking to me the entire time, so that was comforting. Guess I got lucky in a crappy situation

my practice has 4 doctors and 2 midwives. I chose the midwives for a few reasons, but I liked knowing who would be able to deliver.

I got one from a sister practice. Honestly he was a dick. He kept me in observation for 4 hours because he was convinced I had the flu and I was only having contractions because of my appointment the previous day. Ugh. Once I was admitted it was a little better. But he was nice enough to NOT numb my lady parts during the stitches after the epidural wore off.
Loved my labor nurse though!

My office has two OBs that deliver babies (there's also a nurse-midwife and a PA, but they don't do deliveries), but they have cross-coverage at night and on weekends with another practice (whose docs I'd never met, and didn't like when I had to interact with them over the phone a couple times). I was kind of pissed that when I first went to the hospital at midnight, the OB on call was one of the ones from the other practice and she had many more restrictions on me than my OBs would (i.e. she didn't want me to be able to go in the bathtub, no food or drink at all, etc.). Luckily, I really like the two OBs in my practice, and I saw them both during the delivery- one came in to check on me during rounds in the morning, and the other delivered the baby and checked on us the next day. I was really happy with how it worked out.

Same as @Goldilocks1107: my plan has a lot of OBs. I saw a 3 different OBs from the time I was induced to the time I delivered via C-section!

My plan has a bunch of OBs, so odds aren't in my favor that mine will be the delivering doctor. Her clinic days are Mondays and Thursdays, and I think her hospital day is Tuesday. And maybe an on call rotation for weekends. Basically, a 1 in 7 chance of getting her. And I haven't met any of the other OBs at the other clinics. Which is fine. It's all about getting nice nurses anyway.

My practice has 1 doctor and 2? NPs. I met both NPs, but would have only met 1 if I hadn't asked to switch. I have not met the OB, and probably never will. The hospital I am supposed to go to has many OBs and I will meet that person for the first time when I deliver. (I am delivering at a military hospital--not much choice, but the price is right).

There are 8 doctors in my practice and I have met them all. I have no problem with any of them. I have some favorites but none that I despise. That's a good thing because I think I would be pretty annoyed if the doc I hated ended up delivering my LO. It shouldn't be TOO big of a deal considering he/she is only in there for a few minutes anyways.

I was happy to get my OB but I was a scheduled induction.

I would have been ok with the other doctors in the practice. I think we saw 3/8 over the 40 weeks.

There are 6 doctors at our OB office and the only time I would not get my own doctor to delivery baby is if it's on a weekend.

All docs are on call during the week and if a patient goes in, they come when it's time to "push" the rest of the time it's nurses that prep you along the way.

If it's a weekend, it's 1/6 chances you'll get your DOC. I had 1 doc for mavrick that i hated!!!! and switched. The only thing I wish (if I go into labour on a weekend, is that he's not the one on call... I'D DIE or i'd make sure to push her out before he arrived!)

There are 4 doctor's at my OB's office. They make you see each of them at least once because when you go into labor, you can't pick your doctor, it's whoever is on call.

I liked all but one doctor. I lucked out and didn't have her delivering my LO. I would have preferred my normal OB that I had been going to since I was 19, but really I only saw the doctor for a few minutes so who cares anyway.
