<description>&#60;p&#62;In order to avoid clogged ducts, you have to slowly wean. I exclusively pumped for a year and weaned when my LO turned 1. It took about a month (going from 5x/day down to 0), and I did get a few minor clogged ducts. You have to slowly adjust the time between pump/breastfeeding sessions. You can also slowly decrease the amount of time pumping. If you feel engorged, pump just enough to relieve the pain. If done slowly and properly, then you can avoid clogged ducts altogether.
