X naps at noon. I've tried putting him down a little earlier or a little later, but it just ends up being a disaster. He just really needs his nap to be at noon exactly, for it to be a good nap. His naps are usually 1.5-2 hrs. Sometimes I'm really lucky and he'll do an epic 3 hour nap, but that's pretty rare, and usually just during a growth spurt. He wakes up at 7am, and goes to bed at 7pm.

LO dropped his 2nd nap at about 10 months. 2nd nap wasn't very long and it was pushing his bedtime too late. We figured out his schedule by looking at his cues. Naptime comes about 5 hours after he wakes in the morning. Typically he's up between 8:30 and 9:00am. Around 2pm is naptime. He sleeps about 1.5 to 2 hours. Then bedtime is about 5 hours after waking from nap. (so basically wakes at 9am, goes to bed around 8:30 to 9pm - ideally that is!)

When we first transitioned to 1 nap it was early like 11:45 (she usually woke up around 7:00)...that was when she was 14 months. Then it slowly got later bc she's take longer to fall asleep. She's 17 months now and usually goes down at 1:00 (some days earlier and some days later based on her wake up). She naps between 1.5-3 hours.

ETA: subscribing to this thread. At 17 months my LO wakes up around 7:00, naps around 1:00 (6 hours awake time), is up around 3:00/3:30, and goes to bed between 6:45-7:15 (3-3.5 hours awake)

When he first transitioned to one nap (around 15 months), it was around 11:30 or 12pm. Ever since ~18 months or so, it's been anywhere between 12:30-1:30, depending on if we get home in time from a morning activity.

My LO transitioned at 14mo, mostly b/c of daycare. He was on 10 and 2. Then when he went to 1 nap it was 12:30/1:00. He usually doesn't get up until 7:30/8:00.

@looch: I was really hoping that he would hold off until later, too, and I keep pushing it because like twice a week, he will take two 1.5 hour naps.
But I'm really tired of his schedule being so sporadic, especially since he goes to work with me. I need to be able to divide up my day accordingly, and when he only naps in the morning, he's super hard to deal with in the afternoon. But he's also cutting 4 more teeth right now, so who knows, maybe teething is just getting him off?

I didn't transition my son until much later. He goes down for his nap at around 12:30, 1 the latest and sleeps until 3:30 most days.

eta: he is a SUPER early riser. THis morning was 5:45.

We also put LO down at 1, and he sleeps anywhere from 1.5-3 hours. When we had just transitioned him, we put him down a bit earlier, though -- anywhere from 12 to 12:30.

Hmmm....so maybe I'll start out putting him down right after lunch and see how that goes. I just can't see him making it to 1:30 or 2 at this point without a nap.

At first when we transitioned down to one nap, his nap time was around noon. After a couple of months, he had been fighting nap time. Luckily that was easily solved by pushing nap time back to 1:00.

My LO was also like that for awhile. She would take only her morning nap and then skip her afternoon nap, so I moved her nap to 1:30. At first you could tell she was tired and ready to nap, but she quickly got used to it and now she doesn't even seem tired or have tired signals at nap time, even though she usually goes down without a problem.

I think my 1 year old may be transitioning to 1 nap. He seems to fight one nap or the other, or just cat naps for both at this point. He had been on a very consistent 10am and 2pm nap schedule up until this point.

For those who have transitioned to 1 nap a day, what time is your LO's nap? I'm thinking about going cold turkey and just trying to move his nap to 12:30 or 1sh and see if that works. Ugh..it'll be rough in the morning, though.
