I just pump when I can, usually late at night is when I get the most because LO sleeps longer stretches. I have not been very consistent with it though because I don't NEED a stash since I am a SAHM but I have about 60oz saved up for when LO goes overnight to my sisters for our anniversary. Plus, anytime I want to go out for a bit or she needs to be away from me. It is a lot of work to get a stash built, hang in there and just keep pumping!

For me it was easiest pumping in the middle of the night a la 3 a.m. I would just give LO a bottle at the same time (yes, sitting in my lap while attached to pump). My supply was insane at that hour!

I'm exclusively pumping. I pump about 10 oz more than she eats every day, so every other day I freeze two bags.

I pumped before she woke up for a few months and stored 150ounces. Never touched it and I just donated it. Oh well.

To prepare for work and pumping I started pumping once a day about 3 weeks before I had to go back to work. I would pump in the mornings and would get a lot--that went to the freezer. I had an oversupply problem. Pumping twice at work would be more than enough for what she drinks while I'm away, but I would pump 4-5x a day so that I could build up a stash.

I think I said I had 600 oz on another thread, but I've gone through some of it, so I'm down to about 500.

@mungbean I just read your reply about having 1000 oz...that is amaaaazing. I am pumping but always afraid ill pump too much and have nothing to feed him from my boobs when he needs it or I am too tired to pump when he goes down to bed. I just want to sleep!

I pumped twice a night after feeds for a month straight. Nightime is when i can get the most milk. I'm pretty sure it increased my supply because I started getting only 2 oz per side, now I get 5 oz per side. I have 260 oz, but I have nowhere to store anymore milk, but I have to keep pumping because I get engorged. Not really sure what to do now...

I pumped like a madwoman! It was either feeding or pumping every 3 hours, even at night (I was also trying to increase my supply). I started producing quite a bit of milk, and I think each day I was freezing around 10-15 oz? By the end of my maternity leave, I had close to 900 OZ stashed away.

Unfortunately, I had an excess lipase issue so my stash went to waste. So heartbreaking!! :(

Since she started STTN, she only eats on one side for her first feeding, so I pump the other side. Then I usually pump at night right before I go to bed. I usually pump a several more ounces than she needs for the one bottle/day that she gets.

I worked in an extra pump after LO started sleeping longer. I never had a huge stash though. Maybe 2 weeks worth.

How did you do it? It's taken me 3 weeks to build up about 50 oz. :-(
