We have a 2013 flex and love it. It is very comfy. We don't have the captain's chair, just the bench. I kind of wish we had captain's chairs so we wouldn't have to move car seats around when we have people ride with us - but occasionally we need that 7th seat so it's working for us. We don't have awd or the ecoboost and haven't needed either. We feel like it has enough get up and go and it is heavy so we haven't had issues in the snow.

We had a brand new loaner for a few days when our ford was having some work done and we hated it. The lay out is nice and it's big! But it has NO power and it felt like we were driving a tank. It couldn't accelerate fast enough to get on the freeway. That was 4 years ago so maybe they've improved them since? But we swore we would never buy one after that!

We have a Ford Explorer and love it! So if the Flex is truly similar, I'd say it's a good bet. But I would also recommend checking out the Explorers!

We bought a used flex yesterday! My husband is just shy of 7 feet so we needed something that can fit him and rear facing carseats at the same time. There aren't many options that fit the bill. We love it so far. I do like minivans, and I think the Flex is pretty similar, but it drives a little more like an SUV, it has smaller blind spots, and it has more room in the front seat.

I'm ready to move on from the expense of having a Range Rover sport ands it's a little small for a family of 4 and two dogs.

I've always liked the Ford Flex and am going to test drive one today. Does anyone have one? Or know someone who does?

Any other recommendations for me? We mostly drive around town and go on regional trips about 1x a month. I don't want a minivan. M has a company truck so we have something for winter weather. We need something bigger than what we have.
