Definitely videos, especially films they already know. Then they will maybe get some exposure to the sounds and rhythm of the language. You could either do movies and switch the language, or look for cartoons on YouTube.

My husbands family is French so we've been trying to have the kids learn the language but my husband is pretty bad about remembering to speak it at home. We got the Little Pim videos which are nice for basic vocab but didn't hold my kid's attention all that long (at 2.5). Lately we've been putting Disney movies on French. It drives us a little crazy cause we're like "ah! the songs are all wrong!!!" but we hope it adds a little extra language learning with little effort.

I am awful with foreign languages so I would like to do something to get my kids exposed at an early age. We don't live anywhere near a language school. Plus right now I'm working at night and my husband has some evening obligations so I don't really have time for a tutor right now and at their age I don't think that would be very helpful anyway. I'm really wondering about audio programs because we don't do a lot with our kids on the tablet. Books are great but my Spanish pronunciation is awful because I took French in school so I have a hard time with it. Any suggestions?
