I have always pointed down (as did my mom), and lay big knives flat or immediately dry. My ILs and my sister always face everything UP. Even the big, sharp chef knives! I'm always scared I'll inadvertently poke my eye or cut myself when they help wash things. </p> <p>What do you do? </p>
