She usually comes into our bed from 4-6 am when it's coldest in our room. She sticks to a nice sleep routine... Goes to bed at 7, wakes at 10 pm. Sleeps from 10 to 2, then wakes for feed. Wakes again at 4 and sleeps to between 6 and 8 am.</p> <p>Lala never had structure like this! Honestly it was a great choice for us. DH has been able to split the night shift with me from the very beginning and H immediately started concolidating his sleep, which I contribute to the formula keeping him fuller for longer. I am a big supporter of breastfeeding, but formula was the right choice for us.</p> <p>As far as the sleeping goes, I was like a nazi with A's sleep. I never let her go longer than an hour between naps, and even though I tried to follow her cues, I stressed about it a lot. I also rocked her to sleep and held her for most naps until she was almost 3 months. With H we've been trying to put him to sleep in a variety of ways so he doesn't become too attached to any one method; I haven't been rocking him for every nap and I've already started putting him in his crib for a couple naps. In some ways, I think the difference is my reactions; I'm so much less anxious and worried this time around, and that's made it a ton different. In other ways, I think it was some parenting decisions that really contributed to it (formula feeding, different sleep routines, and a lot better sharing of responsibility between mom and dad :). I'm not sure if sex plays a point right now; H is sooooooo sweet and cuddly, just like his sister was.
