Most formula has to be thrown out after 1 hour. The stuff is incredibly nutrient-rich, so bacteria grows like crazy in it.

Will your baby take room-temperature bottles? If so, you can just put bottles with the right amount of water in baby's room, and then add the right amount of pre-measured powdered formula in the night. We use a little munchkin formula dispenser to prepare individual portions of powdered formula. If baby won't do room temperature bottles, I suggest trying to transition him to room temperature. It was kind of a pain for us to wean DD from heated formula, but it was awesome once she started taking room temperature all the time.

we give our kids fresh bottles at room temp. then if it's not finished within an hour or so, we can fridge it and reheat. once it's been heated, it has to be tossed after the 1ish hour window.

for night, we keep prestaged bottles in the nursery. so we have bottles prepped with water and a formula dispenser - just dump, shake, feed. the fewer steps the better, in the dark with fussing baby. if your lo won't take it room temp, you could keep a thermos with warm water in the nursery.

It should say on the container how long the formula is good after its been mixed. Will your lo take a room temp bottle? We always had water ready in the bottles, dumped the formula in and then shook it up. But she wasn't picky with the temp.

Pumping at work was a pain for me too!

I always save unused formula/breastmilk for the next feeding....sometimes even 2.

I would recommend keeping boiling water in a thermos (or maybe something like the Tommee Tippee Travel bottle warmer) and heating up the milk in a glass bottle.

Good luck!

I'm slowly switching LO to formula bc pumping at work just isn't happening. Here are my questions:

If I make a 4 oz bottle and DS only takes 2 oz, can I warm it back up or do I need to throw it out?

I'm still EBF during the night, but whenever I make that transition, what is the easiest method to bottle feed at night? LO will not take a cold bottle!
