Thankfully I don't need to look any further for its owner.</p> <p>The cat was sleeping in a pile of leaves outside our back door this morning, I very easily got it it go in the carrier and took to the vet - thankfully they found a microchip, and the owners only live a few streets away. The vet is boarding him/her until they can come pick it up!</p> <p>Just a great reminder to everyone of why you should have your cats micro-chipped, even if they are "indoor only". Our cat is chipped, too. </p> <p>I found a Craigslist posting of a lost cat that looks really similar. Emailed them to get in touch and let them know which vet we will take it to tomorrow. I hope it is theirs and they can be reunited! If so, that cat walked a long way!!! (The posting is about a 30 min drive from us). </p> <p>I'll check out Petfinder too. She posted his photo on local SPCA's Facebook page, and the owner happened to look there! If your SPCA or other local pet shelters have Facebook pages, maybe you'll find something there. My husband put a box/blanket in the garage for it, but it didn't stay put and now it's just been standing outside our back door meowing loudly for an hour plus. </p> <p>I've posted notices online and in the morning if its still around we'll take it to the vet to be scanned for a microchip. The SPCA won't pick up stray cats :( any thoughts on other places I might look for missing cat listings? (Already looked on craigslist). </p> <p>IT'S SO LOUD IM LOSING MY MIND (oddly, our cat isn't bothered by it at all). And of course I also feel badly for it, but there is no way I am letting it inside. </p>
