Thank you ladies! He seemed concerned to me at the appointment and told me he would be sending me to the high risk doctor for a better estimate. I go there on Thursday so hoping that all is well :) I feel them both move now at around almost 24 weeks! I think they will be fine, and I was just under impression that fraternal twins (esp b/g combo) weighed differently. You guys have made me feel less worried :)

At 27 weeks my fraternal girls were 2-2 and 2-11. My mfm isn't concerned unless the smaller one starts "falling off the charts." But since both were over 50 percentile, she wasn't worried at all. I have my follow up scan tomorrow at 31 weeks

My twins ended up one pound different when they were born at 38 weeks. My son measured larger than my daughter the entire time, but came out smaller! Both ended up smaller than estimated by the US (estimated at 6.5 lbs, but DS was 4 lb 15 oz and DD was 5 lb 15 oz). After my experience I just don't put much stock in the weight estimates. DS was always transverse and facing my back, too, so he was hard to measure. He was also long and skinny, which sort of "tricked" the machines' calculations. That said, we aren't entirely sure if the measurements were always wrong, or if he stopped growing at the end. His placenta was "less juicy" (my OB's term) that DD's so that could have something to do with it. Both my kids are thriving at 18 months and DS is several pounds bigger than DD now! You'd never know he was teeny tiny at birth! One thing to keep in mind is that depending on which baby is twin A, you may not be allowed to deliver vaginally if baby B is measuring much larger than baby A. You want the bigger baby to come out first to pave the way, sort of. I was allowed to try vaginally even though DS (baby B) was measuring larger because the difference wasn't supposed to be much. It turned out I had one vaginally and one c sec, but that was for totally different reasons!

@momtimes3: did the MFM worry? I guess I didn't worry much in my pregnancy so I wasn't worried unless the Dr was worried. Yeah, my water broke at 28 weeks and I was put on bed rest but I will still relatively calm. I made it til 34 weeks to be induced so whatever I and the Dr did worked.

I would ask your MFM and see if they are concerned or worried.

Ill be 23 weeks Wednesday.. Boy measured 1.5 pds but she was 1 pd.. However i think since she faces my back n sits lower in me could affect a good estimate of size? 4 weeks ago he was 9oz n she was 7-8oz.. Im just stressin:( they have both been consistently active and strong hearts
