I am going through the same thing for the third time now. My hcg flies off the charts (literally much higher than the "normal" range) really early. The first time I had a miscarriage (reason unknown, we did see the heartbeat before it happened). The second time I had my healthy baby. And now I'm 6 weeks pregnant.

I read that hcg varies a lot from person to person, and some people just produce a lot of it, consistently. That seems to describe me.

I've also developed debilitating nausea each time and suspect it is due to the quick rise in hormone levels.

@Alicat8: my levels were super high. I thought for sure I was going to have twins but he's a singleton. There is such a big range for your levels.

Normal HCG levels are so so variable that it's really hard to draw any conclusions. You could have a normal singleton pregnancy, it could mean multiples, or high hcg can sometimes indicate a molar pregnancy. I'd talk to your doctor for some peace of mind.

I'm not sure, but can't high hcg possibly mean multiples?

I'm 5 weeks today and got blood work last week and found out my progesterone was low. I also got my hcg tested and the results were:

10/1/16 4w1d-514

10/3/16 4w3d-1,668

10/5/16 4w5d-4,390

Do these levels seem high to any of you? 514 to 1,668 is a little over tripling which concerns me. I'm mainly concerned about down syndrome because a rare chromosomal disorders runs in my fiance's family.

I got a faint bfp on the night of 10 dpo on a wondfo. The next night I got a pretty dark line on a frer. The next night I took a cb digital and got pregnant 2-3 weeks. According to my chart I wasn't even 2 weeks past ovulation at that point. How is this even possible?!
