I preferred the regular Ameeda horns for typical use but loved the Freemie for more difficult situations like pumping in the car...even used it to pump in my office that I share with (a totally cool with it) male coworker a few times. But get the adapter kit for a regular (Medela or Ameda) pump. I hear the pump for the Freemie is not as good. I use it with my Medela. Developed by a mama doctor who couldn't undress every time she needed to pump. I can just slip the cups in my bra, versus taking my clothes off and putting on a pumping bra and then using horns. They do have to be on just right to not suck liquid up into the tubes.
