I am glad I didn't keep going though, because the milk in there she never drinks and it will eventually go bad. I had a major oversupply and was exclusively pumping (which was a pain) so I wanted to stop at the 6 month mark. I ended up stopping at 7 months with about 3200oz in my stash. I love that I have so much BM for LO but it takes up 2 1/2 freezers! Towards the end I pretty much had to stop because I ran out of freezer space. I had a goal of 80oz when I returned to work. It kept growing to over 300oz at some point, but then I stopped pumping at night. Since I stopped my night pump my supply has dropped off. I usually pump 16-17 ounces at work and LO takes 20-22 while I'm gone so we've been using up the stash. It really stresses me out, but we need to use the milk before it goes bad anyway.</p> <p>I don't really have a specific time length that I will give LO breastmilk exclusively. I would like to make it to a year to avoid formula just because of the cost aspect, but if my supply won't allow me, I won't beat myself up over it.
