@Pumuckl: I know I don't have ideal conditions to be safe on with the upper limits.....cooler bag after pumping.....then this bottle made the trip to and from daycare already.

But my Friday milk probably doesn't have to be frozen anymore! Yay saving all those baggies!!!

@meadow: milk can be stored in the fridge for up to 8 days, so no need to freeze (http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/milkstorage/milkstorage/)

@meadow: Mine has always been good to refrigerate from Thursday to Monday. I just label that bottle to feed first on Monday.

@kiddosc: I always freeze Friday's pumps for Monday's bottles and just refrigerate Saturday night's.

This bottle was pumped on Thursday.

As long as there's enough room for expansion, it shouldn't be a problem. Do you really have to freeze though? When was the milk pumped? Breastmilk should last for 3-5 days in the fridge.

I feel silly asking this ......

I brought home an extra bottle from daycare today. Can I throw the bottle (plastic) in the freezer then just thaw overnight in the fridge for Monday? I figure this would save the little bit of waste in transferring to a plastic bag & back.

I know freezing in glass is ok but wasn't sure about my plastic bottle (sans nipple of course!)
